Things are not always as they seem….

Quite a few years ago my family took a mission trip to Guatemala. We visited a Christian operated children’s home where we spent the week working on the property, painting, pouring concrete, cleaning the main eating areas, etc…  and was also afforded 2 trips into the local cities.

Do you honor God with your Love?

As a pastor I have met a lot of people in my time. The hardest thing to do is to move to a different place and to make new friends. As most of you know, there is always some that you will connect with and there are others that may not like you at all.

The great thing about coming to a new place, no matter whether it is church or a neighborhood, is you will make everlasting friends. For Tina and me, we have had at least one or two friends, from each place, that became our prayer warriors. They go to battle every day for us, because they know that being a pastor and wife we can and most likely will be in spiritual warfare every day.

Just a quick note to all of you; I have been married for almost 29 years to my wife Tina. We are so glad to now be serving in this area at Twin Lakes Baptist and look forward to worshiping with you and invite you to come be a part of our Worship Experience. We have two boys, Jeremy (23) and Brandon (17).

As I sat and thought of what to write about in this first blog my thoughts turned to our (Tina and my self’s) journey that has brought us to this place. Psalm 118:8 says “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man” (NKJV). To be in the center of Gods Will for our lives we turn to the center of the Bible. Tina and I have always put God first in our lives and I give Him praise for 28+ years with Tina as well as sharing a ministry with her.

Adult Sunday School classes

We are happy to announce two Adult classes!  Both classes are using the "Explore the Bible" study guide by Lifeway.  These classes begin at 9:45 am every Sunday morning....But come early for donuts and coffee :-)
