So the big question that I have for this week is, “Did you worship?” Did you take time to remember all that God has done for you? All too often we get caught up in the holidays and the rituals of presents and egg hunts and forget what the true meaning of Easter really is.
I was talking with a friend of mine and he stated that Easter is starting to become more insignificant every year to people and that church attendance is falling off. I totally agree with him…
In Romans chapter 12: 1-2 it talks of being a living sacrifice to God. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.2)And do not be conformed to this world. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
The thing that we need to be careful of is that we can become conformed to this world and lose sight of what is truly important.
So, did you participate in true worship this past week? If not, ask yourself, “Is what I was doing this past weekend more important than worshiping?”
There is not enough earthly treasure available to make up for the loss of God’s blessings…
